Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vasundhra Raje on Thursday invited party’s national president JP Nadda for dinner. It comes on a crucial time when the party has the key task of selecting potential chief ministerial candidates to lead new cabinets for the upcoming five years.

However, several senior party leaders including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia are also called on Nadda.

If we talk about Rajasthan, sources and news reports also reveal that a group of 5-6 BJP MLAs were lodged in a hotel on Sikar Road in Jaipur late on Tuesday night. Among those present was Kishanganj MLA Lalit Meena.

To date, the party has not revealed a single name for the post of CM for all three states.

This parade to the leadership by the candidates becomes quite obvious until the party declares its chief ministers in the three states but what’s cooking in BJP will remain a mystery unless unfolded.

Notable, during the UP-assembly elections in 2017, the BJP took almost a month to declare Yogi Adityanath as the CM. There were speculations doing rounds of Manoj Sinha’s elevation to the post but the plan changed and Yogi bagged the opportunity.

Now, after the leadership is taking time to choose the ‘right’ person for these states, there remains a good probability in seeing an unpredictable or not-so-routine face in at least one of these states.

Furthermore, saffron party’s parliamentary meeting was held today during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers S Jaishankar, Amit Shah Ashwani Vaishanaw were among other MPs who attended.

Meanwhile, in Telangana, the state where congress registered a landslide victory, Ravanth Reddy – who is the chief of state congress took oath as the third chief minister along with other cabinet members.

BJP registered a sweeping victory across the Hindi heartland during the recent assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The overwhelming mandates left political adversaries astounded, challenging the projections made by numerous pollsters. This resounding win dealt a significant blow to the Congress, thwarting their hopes for a substantial foothold in the region ahead of the 2024 elections.

Rajasthan witnessed a stark contrast between anticipated outcomes and actual results, as the BJP emerged triumphant with 115 seats, relegating the Congress to 69 seats. In Chhattisgarh, out of the 90 assembly constituencies, the BJP secured 54, leaving the Congress with 35—a noteworthy win for the BJP in a state where they had been vying against nearly two decades of incumbency.

However, the most striking victory came in Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP clinched a resounding mandate, securing a total of 163 seats, while the Congress trailed far behind with 66 seats. This shift in power dynamics across these states rattled the political landscape, as the BJP surged ahead, shattering long-standing perceptions and predictions.

The outcome underscored the BJP’s dominance and resilience in the region, showcasing their ability to mobilize voter support and transcend earlier assessments. For the Congress, the loss in these significant states posed a setback, significantly impacting their prospects for the impending national elections.

The sweeping victories solidified the BJP’s position and marked a turning point in the political narrative of the Hindi heartland.
