The situation prompted strong reactions from politicians. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal condemned the incident, calling it a result of the decline in law and order in Rajasthan. In Jaipur, BJP leader Diya Kumari expressed shock, emphasizing the need for better security measures. She highlighted incidents like this becoming common during the Congress government’s tenure.

In response to the bandh, shops remained closed in Ajmer. Heavy police deployment was observed in Jaipur, and the police assured that the culprits would be apprehended soon.

Governor Kalraj Mishra sought a report from the Director General of Police, Umesh Mishra, regarding the security lapse. Investigations are ongoing, particularly focusing on the reason behind the attackers targeting Naveen Shaktawat, who was with Gogamedi, resulting in his tragic demise as well.
