A team of officials from Rajasthan government is in Andhra Pradesh to study the governance delivery model of the state under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Of particular interest to the visiting Rajasthani team is the manner in which the ‘youngest’ state is going about its technology mission to become the country’s most advanced when it comes to technology and its applications in various aspects of life, and governance.
Welcoming the Rajasthani team, Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of AP’s Twenty Points Programme said on Monday that these exchanges at the officials level enabled exchange of experiences in the best practices of governance in force now in the state.
Chief Minister Naidu’s governance strategy focuses on maintaining a balance between welfare and development, and at the sometime integrating technological advancements through the Real-Time Governance Centre (RTGC). This is sought to be achieved by embedding deep technology applications in every sphere of public administration, Dinakar said and added, “Andhra Pradesh is set to become the first state in India to establish a “Quantum Valley”, dedicated to the development of quantum computing technologies.
“We are restructuring the Twenty Point Programme as the “Swarna Andhra @ 2047 Implementation Programme”, aligning it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in tune with the Prime Minister’s aspiration for a Viksit Bharat @ 2047,” he said and added, “Furthermore, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to the Union Government to restructure the existing Twenty Point Programme as the “PM Viksit Bharat Implementation Programme,” Dinakar said and added that “The proposal is currently under consideration with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.”
Thinking big and achieving big is the philosophy of Chief Minister Naidu, who is known for his audacious and ambitious vision for Hyderabad that he developed as the Cyberabad, a global technology hub and put the city on the technological map of the world, Dinakar said.
With such a proven track record, Naidu is now on a mission to Our Chief Minister’s philosophy is to “think big and achieve big,” a vision well demonstrated through his leadership in transforming Hyderabad into Cyberabad, a global technology hub.
It is with such a determination that Naidu is going about building Andhra Pradesh into a model state for balanced development that combines technological innovation, economic growth and inclusive welfare, all in line with the national aspirations for a Vikasit Bharat @ 2047.
A series of meetings and demonstrations of working models will be presented to the visiting Rajasthani delegation, Dinakar said. “We look forward to meaningful interactions and exchange of best governance practices with our esteemed counterparts from Rajasthan, over the next two days” Dinakar added.
At present, Andhra Pradesh’s per capita income has been recorded at Rs 2,66,240, driven by an 11.89% growth rate over the previous year at current prices. The state trails behind Tamil Nadu (Rs 3,58,027, 13.58%) and Karnataka (Rs 3,80,906, 12.09%).
AP chief minister Naidu has set an ambitious target of doubling the state’s per capital income within the next four years.
