Bengaluru: After Bengaluru experienced heavy rains on Saturday, resulting in traffic jams due to water accumulation at various spots, more rainfall is expected in the Karnataka capital.
On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert, predicting that Bengaluru would experience rain for the next five days, accompanied by thundershowers in certain areas.
The weather forecast predicts cloudy skies with intermittent rain and thundershowers in Bengaluru from June 2 (Sunday) to June 4 (Tuesday), with rain expected on June 5 and 6 as well.
During the rains, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 26.9 degrees Celsius. Additionally, several parts of another southern state, Kerala, are preparing for rains over the next seven days, according to a weather report.

Kozhikode in Kerala is expected to experience rain and thundershowers from June 2 to June 8, with temperatures ranging between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius over the next seven days.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain showers have also been predicted for Chennai in Tamil Nadu. As per the latest reports by the weather department, Chennai is likely to see partly cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain with the maximum temperature settling around 34 to 35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature at 29 degrees Celsius.
