New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday moved to Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court seeking no objection to the issuance of a fresh ordinary passport to him.
After being disqualified from the Lok Sabha, Rahul surrendered his diplomatic passport in March this year. He is now applying for a new one.
Congress leader is scheduled to visit America on 28 May where He will participate in a program at Stanford University. He has meetings programmes with NRIs on 29 and 30 May also.
However, no official information regarding Rahul Gandhi’s program has come to the fore. if he goes to the US, it will be Rahul’s first foreign trip after becoming a Member of parliament.
In the petition, Rahul stated that after he lost his Membership in Parliament in March 2023, he surrendered his diplomatic passport. Applying for a new ordinary passport. Through the present application for a fresh ordinary passport, the applicant is seeking permission and no objection from this Court to issue the same.
