New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday hosted a lunch for the vegetable-seller whose emotional video went viral on internet as he cried over the inflation. The man said that he could not buy tomatoes for selling as it is too expensive.
The video triggered a row overrising prices of tomatoes that had not just affected the kitchens of common men but also the part of the sellers bore the heat.

Emotional Video on Internet
In July, a video went viral from Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi where Rameshwar got teary eyes while telling the media person that tomatoes are very expensive that did not have enough money to buy.
The emotional video surfaced at a time when the nation was struggling to buy tomatoes as the rate hiked up to nearly Rs 200 per kilogram. The video was shared by many leaders, including Rahul Gandhi himself.

Following which, he went down to Azadpur Mandi in Delhi where Rameshwar sells vegetables. The two did not meet there but later Rameshwar showed interest to meet Rahul Gandhi.
After meeting Rameshwar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared the picture on his X account saying that the latter is a generous person who moves ahead with a smile even in difficult circumstances.
Rameshwar Does Not Even Own Bank Account
Hailing from a Kasganj district, Rameshwar had moved to Delhi with his family 10 years ago and started selling vegetables here. The man does not even own a bank account.
