Abohar: A cache of arms has been recovered on the Abohar border of Punjab on Sunday. BSF has recovered two AK 47 rifles, 4 rifle magazines, 2 pistols and 4 pistol magazines and cartridges during the investigation operation at around 12:15 pm in Abohar area of Punjab.
After the recovery of this consignment, the investigating agencies have become alert. Investigation operations are going on in the surrounding area.
Presently BSF is probing as to why such a large number of weapons were brought here. Is it part of a terrorist plot? The local police are now probing the surrounding area. People having criminal records in the area are being questioned.

Earlier weapons were found in Firajpur
According to the information, it is suspected that the AK-47 rifle and the recovered ammunition were brought from across the border for the purpose of carrying out some major incident in Punjab.
Earlier in Ferozepur, Punjab, BSF had conducted a special search operation in front of the border fence in Gandu Kilcha village of Ferozepur. During the search, BSF recovered 5 assault rifles with 5 magazines and 5 pistols with 10 magazines in 2 packets.
