Punjab: The Jalandhar Police in Punjab have apprehended five individuals linked to Lakhbir Singh Landa, a Canada-based Khalistani terrorist, on accusations involving extortion, murder, and the trafficking of arms and drugs across borders.

During a 15-day operation aimed at apprehending the accused, five pistols of foreign origin were seized from them. In December of last year, the Ministry of Home Affairs officially designated Lakhbir Landa as a terrorist.

According to reports, the 33-year-old is affiliated with the Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and was implicated in planning a rocket attack on the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in Mohali in 2021.
Lakhbir Landa’s name was also linked to the RPG attack at Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran in December 2022. The terrorist is originally from Punjab but has been residing in Canada for the past few years. During this time, he has been actively involved in plotting conspiracies against India.
