Senior Superintendent of Police, Taran Taran district, Gurmeet Chauhan said that Dhaliwal has been shot dead by a woman who is his relative. She fired two bullets at Dhaliwal.

Dhaliwal was the chairman of the Patti market committee during the previous tenure of congress.
A police team has been appointed to catch all the accused, SSP said.
