Chandigarh: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mohali, an alert has been issued regarding a possible terrorist attack in Punjab. According to intelligence reports, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is trying to carry out a terrorist strike in Chandigarh and Mohali.
Intelligence agencies have warned that terrorists may target bus stands and public transport. Central intelligence agencies have sent inputs to the Punjab government in this regard. After which planning has been started by the Punjab Police regarding the security arrangements.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mohali on August 24. Here he will inaugurate the Tata Cancer Hospital.
Terrorists caught in Delhi revealed sinister plot
A few days ago, the Punjab Police had caught 4 terrorists from Delhi. These included Deepak Moga, Sunny Isapur, Sandeep Singh and Vipin Jakhar. These four were in contact with Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla and Gurjanta Jinta who is operating from Australia.
During interrogation, they had revealed that along with Delhi and Moga, Mohali is also the target of terrorists. The Punjab Police had termed it a terror module backed by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
In Punjab, leaders and officers are also on the target of terrorists. Among them, the prominent names are of former Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa, former ministers Gurkeerat Kotli, Vijayinder Singla and Parminder Pinky. The central intelligence agencies had sent a list of 10 people to the Punjab Police after which orders have been given to increase the security of all of them.
