Wanted gangster Arsh Dhalla claimed responsibility for the killing of a local Congress leader, Baljinder Singh Balli (45), at his residence. The murder was perpetrated by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Moga district on Monday. These miscreants forcibly entered the residence of the Congress leader and killed him. Hours after the fatal shooting, a Canada-based Khalistani terrorist named Arsh Dalla claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post.

A purported CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the attacker opened fire on the congress leader before swiftly fleeing the scene. This devastating incident unfolded in Balli’s hometown of Dalla.

Despite swift efforts to rush Balli to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by law enforcement officials. Senior Superintendent of Police J Elanchezhian, accompanied by other officers, promptly arrived at the scene, emphasizing that an active investigation was underway.

Balli held the significant position of party president for the Ajitwal block in Moga district.

Senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa and Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring unequivocally condemned this heinous act.

Bajwa shared details of the harrowing incident by dropping a post on X.
