Two doctors from Sassoon General Hospital in Pune have been arrested in connection with the Porsche crash involving a 17-year-old boy. The police reported that the doctors have been detained on charges of manipulating blood samples.
The arrested individuals include Dr. Ajay Taware and Shrihari Harnor, head of the hospital’s forensic department.
‘They have been arrested for the alleged manipulation of blood samples and destruction of evidence in the case,’ a senior police official stated.
The crime branch is currently investigating the case.
The incident, which resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals, involved a speeding Porsche allegedly driven by a minor. The police claim the teenager was intoxicated at the time. Initially granted bail, the minor was placed in an observation home until June 5 following public outcry and a police review.
