Pune: Three Labourers Dead, Seven Injured In Water Tank Collapse

Additional Commissioner of Police, Vasant Pardeshi said that it appears the wall of the water tank burst due to water pressure, leading to its collapse.

Pune: Three labourers were killed and seven others injured in Pune when a makeshift water tank collapsed at a labour camp in the Bhosari area of Pimpri Chinchwad, on Thursday morning. According to reports, Police said the accident took place while some workers were bathing under the tank.

Additional Commissioner of Police, Vasant Pardeshi said that it appears the wall of the water tank burst due to water pressure, and the labourers below it got trapped under the debris.

“Three of them died on the spot, seven others were injured. They were taken to a hospital,” he said.
