In a tragic incident, a food delivery partner lost his life after being hit by an Audi Car. The incident occurred in Mundhwa area of Pune around 2 am on Friday. According to Pune Additional Commissioner of Police, Manoj Patil, the driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the accident but was subsequently detained by the Police. The Police informed about further investigation into the incident.
ANI quoted the police who said that accused first hit a two-wheeler injuring three people and later hit the victim’s motorcycle from behind, causing injuries to him.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 1.35 am. The deceased was identified as Rauf Shaikh. He was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. The accused is 34-year-old Ayush Tayal and has been arrested by the police.
Pune Police informed that accused Ayush fled from the spot after the accident but upon the investigation of the CCTV footage, his car was identified and subsequently arrested from his residence in Hadapsar area. “A case has been registered under BNS Sections 105, 281, 125(a), 132, 119,1 77, 184 at Mundhwa Police station. Further investigation is underway, added the police.
