Students from different corners of the world move to new places to do jobs or pursue education. For this they stay in a hostel or PG or take a flat on rent. One shocking incident took place in Maharashtra’s Pune Social Welfare Hostel, managed by the Social Justice Department where four girls were expelled from the hostel after they ordered pizza online and disciplinary action were taken against them.
Hostel warden Minakshi Narahare issued an official notice and issued a one-month suspension from the hostel. The official notice demanded that one person would need to accept placing the order or else all four roommates would receive disciplinary consequences. All students remained silent and because of this, they received their expulsion, as reported by India Today.

The incident created more controversy because the authorities called all student’s parents to attend a conference because the meeting devolved into something irrelevant instead of academic performance. The administration failed to listen to the parent’s appeal and proceeded to impose disciplinary action.

The incident has triggered discussion about the excessive disciplinary action for something minor while parents faced unrelated discussions.
