Pune: In a disturbing incident from Khadakwasla, Pune, an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 67-year-old man, who has since been arrested by the police. The incident came to light during a ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ workshop organized at the victim’s school.
Incident Unveiled During Safety Workshop
The assault was revealed on Saturday during a workshop aimed at teaching young girls about safety and identifying inappropriate behavior. The Class 5 student disclosed the incident to a teacher, stating that the assault had occurred the previous day when the accused lured her with sweets.

The incident occurred in a village about 15 kilometers away from Pune city. A police officer mentioned that the girl is currently receiving counseling support. The incident took place around 11 AM on August 23, while the girl was on her way to school. According to a report, the police station’s Inspector in charge revealed that a few days before the incident, the accused had offered the girl chocolate and began interacting with her. On the day of the incident, as the girl was heading to school, the accused allegedly took her to his house and raped her.
School Authorities and Police Involvement
The teacher immediately informed the school principal, who then contacted the girl’s parents. After discussing the issue with the school’s teachers’ union and the girl’s family, a formal complaint was lodged at the Haveli Police Station. The accused was subsequently arrested, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
