New Delhi: Puducherry Health Department officials said on Saturday that 79 cases of subtype influenza viral H3N2 have been reported so far in the Union territory.
Director of Puducherry Medical Service G Sriramulu, in a press release, said that 79 cases of H3N2 influenza subtype have been reported till March 4 but no casualties happened due to it till now.
Advising people he said, ” We have all preventive steps to ensure that the virus does not spread”.
Earlier, Two people, one in Haryana and one in Karnataka, have reportedly died due to H3N3.
The central government has asked all state governments to track the virus and make all proper arrangements to stop its spread.
