In Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, five BJP leaders face scrutiny. Following an assessment of the 2024 Lok Sabha election outcomes, the BJP has submitted a report to the party’s high command listing these leaders who allegedly worked against party candidate Dr. Mahesh Sharma. The report includes supporting evidence for the high command’s review.
These five leaders face impending action as the BJP conducts a thorough review of every Lok Sabha constituency post-election. The findings from Gautam Buddh Nagar’s constituency review have raised eyebrows. Senior party figures and organizational officials discussed 17 individuals accused of undermining the party’s candidate during the elections.
Following deliberations, a report was submitted to the high command implicating five individuals, including three MPs and senior party officials. Evidence of their alleged opposition activities was also presented during the meeting. Notably, two MPs and organizational leaders hail from Bulandshahr district, while others are linked to Gautam Buddh Nagar. Senior party leaders are currently deliberating on the outcomes of this post-review report.

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha constituency encompasses five assembly constituencies across two districts. Noida, Dadri, and Jewar constituencies are situated within Gautam Buddha Nagar district, while Sikandrabad and Khurja constituencies fall under Bulandshahr district. The expansive area of Bulandshahr district within the Lok Sabha constituency results in significant influence for its representatives and officials.
Dr. Mahesh Sharma, winner of the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha seat by the largest margin, emphasized the dedicated efforts of party workers in securing this significant victory. He refrained from commenting on his opponents during the election. Following a review of the election by party leadership and submission of reports by organizational officials, decisions will be made based on their findings.
The BJP secured its largest victory in the state on the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha seat. Dr. Mahesh Sharma, the BJP candidate, clinched victory with a hat-trick, garnering 857,829 votes. His winning margin was 559,472 votes, marking an increase in each successive victory. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, he won by a margin of 280,212 votes, followed by 336,922 votes in 2019.

Santendra Sisodia, BJP’s western region head, stated it is an internal party matter. Each Lok Sabha seat is currently under review. A comprehensive report has been formulated following discussions with candidates, organizational officers, and Lok Sabha coordinators. Allegations of misconduct during the elections in the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha seat will be addressed by party leadership.
