PM Modi Odisha Visit Highlights: Jharsuguda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha today, September 27, 2025. He will be attending a program at the Amlipali ground in Jharsuguda at 11.30 am and address the gathering.
During the one-day visit, PM Modi will launch projects worth over Rs 60,000 crore. He is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of three new railway projects worth Rs 1700 crore. The Prime Minister will also flag off the Amrit Bharat Express connecting Surat in Gujarat to Brahmapur in Odisha. Additionally, he will commission over 97,500 mobile 4G towers worth Rs 37,000 crore.

Jharsuguda, Odisha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, "India's companies have got India a position among the top 5 countries of the world that have indigenous technology to start 4G services... It is because of BSNL that India is moving towards becoming a global telecom manufacturing hub. Swadeshi 4G network begins today from here, as part of which, 1 lakh 4G mobile towers have been set up across the country... Border districts and far-fetched villages, where high-speed internet and connectivity were an issue, will greatly benefit from this... Our soldiers will also be able to use safe indigenous services for connectivity..."

Jharsuguda, Odisha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributes sanction orders to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana. The scheme provides pucca houses and financial assistance to vulnerable rural families, including persons with disabilities, widows, individuals suffering from terminal illness, and victims of natural calamities.

In the field of telecom connectivity, the Prime Minister will commission more than 97,500 4 G mobile towers built at a cost of around Rs. 37,000 crore with swadeshi technology. This includes more than 92,600 4G technology sites commissioned by BSNL.
Over 18,900 4G sites have been funded under the Digital Bharat Nidhi, which will connect around 26,700 unconnected villages in remote, border, and left-wing extremism-affected areas, serving over 20 lakh new subscribers. These towers are solar-powered, making them India’s largest cluster of green telecom sites and a step forward in sustainable infrastructure.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweets, "Will be in Jharsuguda, Odisha, to inaugurate developmental works worth over Rs. 50,000 crore. In a historic feat, over 97,500 telecom towers across India would be commissioned. These have been built using local technologies and will boost connectivity in remote areas, border areas and those affected by Maoism."
