President, PM, NDA leader pay respect to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on death anniversary

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to former PM and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Minister Piyush Goyal also paid respect to the former PM.

A Pushpanjai and prayer meeting was organized at the Atal memorial. Meanwhile, Leaders from BJP and NDA also lined up to pay respect to Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“I join the 140 crore people of India in paying homage to the remarkable Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi. India benefitted greatly from his leadership. He played a pivotal role in boosting our nation’s progress and in taking it to the 21st century in a wide range of sectors,” tweeted PM Modi.

On the fifth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a Prayer meet has been organized at Atal Memorial in Delhi. On this occasion, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s daughter Namita Bhattacharya and son-in-law Ranjan Bhattacharya also reached the place.
