New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu underwent a cataract surgery at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) here on Sunday, an official release from President’s secretariat read.

“President Droupadi Murmu underwent cataract surgery of her right eye today morning (November 20, 2022) at the Army Hospital (Referral & Research), New Delhi,” it said.

The surgery was successful and she has been discharged from the Hospital, the statement said.

Her left eye was also successfully operated on October 16, 2022 at the Army Hospital.
