Bhopal: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol to attend the programme of Tribal Pride Day on November 15. This will be her first visit to Madhya Pradesh.

This information was shared by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday. MP CM said the first visit of President Droupadi Murmu is a matter of pride and that the entire Madhya Pradesh will hear her address.

“Today I spoke to President Droupadi Murmu and I have invited her to visit Madhya Pradesh. It is a matter of fortune for us that she had accepted the invitation,” Chouhan tweeted in Hindi.

The Tribal Pride Day is going to be held on the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda, who is revered as a god among tribal communities across the country.

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has also planned nationwide celebrations on the occasion. The Central government has declared the November 15 as Tribal Pride Day to commemorate the contribution of tribal communities to the history and culture of the nation.
