Prasanna Sankar, a tech entrepreneur embroiled in a bitter divorce and custody battle, has intensified his accusations against his estranged wife. The Rippling co-founder took to X, delivering a point-by-point rebuttal to Dhivya Sashidhar's claims that he "kidnapped" their nine-year-old son and was a "sex predator."

Sankar has now shared WhatsApp screenshots and email exchanges between their lawyers in a detailed thread, accusing his wife of "abducting" their son from Singapore to the U.S. and "brainwashing" him into believing his father had abandoned him.

One of the screenshots, he claimed, showed his wife had "voluntarily instructed" when he should pick up their son from her house, as per mutually agreed terms—contradicting her allegation that he took the child by force or "kidnapped" him.

He also shared an email exchange between their U.S. lawyers, which appeared to indicate both parties had agreed to a "mutual consent divorce in India" with shared custody of their son. The email outlined the division of assets and stipulated that Dhivya would receive $5,000 in monthly support. Sankar was to cover all child-related expenses under a "50/50 parenting plan."
Sankar argued that this contradicted his wife's claim that he had "forced" her to sign the agreement against her will, adding that they had not spoken for months.
Additionally, he challenged Dhivya’s claim that he coerced her into coming to India from Singapore by sharing a court ruling that appeared to order her to return the child. The filing noted the court's ruling was in Sankar's favor but did not disclose further case details.
Allegations By Dhivya
Divya claimed that her husband lost his job in the US after being arrested in San Francisco for soliciting prostitution. Additionally, She accused him of being a “sexual pervert”. She said that Prasanna used to secretly filme his assaults on women and alleged that she had also been a victim of his abuse. A US citizen, Sashidar has now sought help from the Chennai police, alleging that her husband kidnapped their son.
She said, “People say that children grow up in a similar way as their parents. My father-in-law has also indulged in sexual offences. He abused my mother-in-law and chased her away from home. Now I am in need of desperate help from Chennai police. Please help,” Divya pleaded in her testimony.
Dhivya had made the accusations after Sankar went public with their legal dispute, accusing her of using the police to harass him since she was unhappy with their divorce settlement. He had claimed that his wife filed numerous cases against him in Singapore - including those of rape and leaking her nude videos - but the police found them to be false.
