The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the scandalous videos case linked to JD(S) Lok Sabha candidate Prajwal Revanna, has issued a lookout notice against him on Thursday. The lookout notice has been circulated to all immigration checkpoints worldwide.
This development arises from allegations that Revanna fled to Frankfurt, Germany on April 26, following the circulation of numerous explicit videos and photos depicting him engaging in sexual abuse of multiple women, which went viral on social media.
Prajwal, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda, as well as the son of former minister HD Revanna, is currently campaigning for re-election from Hassan on the JD(S) ticket.
The JD(S) MP, embroiled in a significant controversy regarding his sex videos and facing sexual assault charges, has requested a seven-day extension to appear before the Special Investigation Team conducting the inquiry into his case.
Both he and his father, HD Revanna, received notices to appear before the SIT for questioning. The Hassan MP informed the investigative team that he is currently outside Bengaluru.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a sarcastic remark regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s expression of outrage over the case. While speaking in Hubballi, Amit Shah stated that the BJP cannot align with individuals who commit atrocities against women, alluding to the Prajwal case.
Meanwhile, a case has been filed against both Revanna and his son Prajwal in Holenarasipura, following a complaint lodged by their former cook and relative accusing them of sexual harassment.
She alleged that Prajwal made video calls to her daughter and spoke in an inappropriate manner, prompting her to block him.
