Hyderabad: In Ramnagar, Hyderabad, a man narrowly avoided being swept away by floodwaters after heavy rains hit the city on Monday, August 19. While attempting to cross a flooded road on his bike, the man lost control as water rushed against him, causing him to fall and get his foot trapped beneath his vehicle.

Bystanders Rush to Help
Despite the force of the water pulling the man and his bike, bystanders quickly intervened. It was a challenging rescue, as the floodwaters continued to drag him along, but they ultimately managed to pull him to safety.

Citywide Impact of Heavy Rains
The heavy rainfall that provided relief from the city’s intense heat and humidity also caused widespread flooding in several parts of Hyderabad. Low-lying areas were inundated, leading to waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and inconvenience for commuters.
Traffic Advisories Issued
In response to the flooding, traffic police issued advisories for affected areas, particularly Shaikpet and Tolichowki, urging commuters to exercise caution on waterlogged roads.
