Police Team Attacked In Darbhanga Of Bihar: Officers Injured As Mob Pelted Stone, Tried To Snatch Their Weapon

The incident took place in Abhanda village of Laheriyasarai police station area in Darbhanga. The police went to arrest the accused on whom the court issued a warrant.

Shocking news has come from Darbhanga, Bihar, where the police team that went to arrest the accused was attacked by the family members of the accused and the nearby people.

According to Sadar Darbhanga DSP Amit Kumar, “Officers from Laheriasarai PS had gone to arrest an accused from Samastipur Family Court, during which the family members of the accused and nearby people attacked the police.”

He further mentioned that “Two sub-inspectors and a constable got injured. There is no confirmation of firing. So far 4 people have been detained, one of whom is the accused. The assailants of the attack are being identified using CCTV footage.”

As per the statement of DSP Amit Kumar, four people have been detained and two of the sub-inspectors got injured.

The mob pelted stones at the police team. Not only this but they tried to snatch their weapons.
