Police Officer Caught Red-Handed While Taking Bribe Of Rs 30,000 In UP’s Mirzapur

A complainant Harinarayan Yadav from Majhigawa village wanted to file a case. However, the police officer did not file the case and demanded a bribe. Finally, the complainant approached the Anti-corruption department in Mirzapur and reported the matter.

A Station officer (SO) was caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur. The anti-corruption team caught him red-handed when he was taking the first installment of a bribe. He was taken to the city police station.

According to reports, the SO, Shiv Shankar Singh, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a man in exchange for filing a case. The anti-corruption team laid a trap in advance and, when the cop was taking the first installment of Rs 30,000, caught him red-handed.
