Chaibasa (Jharkhand): The Chaibasa Police Sunday apprehended 5 accused and two minors in connection of an alleged gang-rape with a software engineer here on October 20.
The woman, in her complaint with the police, reported that she was out with her friend when a group of 8-10 people approached them.

First, the perpetrators beat up the victim’s friend and then took her to a secluded place to sexually assault her.
According to the report, the incident took place at 6 pm on Thursday. The victim is a resident of a village under Jhinkpani police station. The 26-year-old victim had gone to visit Tekrahatu airstrip with her brother’s friend.
Meanwhile, the accused stopped both of them. After this, they beat up the friend of the victim and then carried out the gang-rape incident.
According to the information, the victim was admitted to a hospital in Chaibasa in a critical condition.
