New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to four southern states today to launch a variety of development projects totaling more than Rs 25,000 crore.
On November 11 and 12, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will pay floral tributes to the statues of saint poet Sri Kanaka Dasa and Maharshi Valmiki at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on November 11 at around 9:45 a.m.
He will flag off the Vande Bharat Express and the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train at Bengaluru’s KSR railway station around 10:20 a.m.
PM Modi will open Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport at approximately 11:30 a.m. Following that, at approximately 12 noon, he will unveil the 108-foot bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, followed by a public function in Bengaluru at approximately 12:30 am. PM Modi will attend the 36th Convocation ceremony of Gandhigram Rural Institute in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, at around 3:30 p.m.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a number of projects in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on November 12 at around 10:30 a.m. He will go to the RFCL plant in Ramagundam, Telangana, around 3:30 p.m. Following that, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for a number of projects in Ramagundam.

The Prime Minister will dedicate Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 5,000 crore. According to the PMO, the terminal will double the airport’s passenger handling capacity to 5-6 crore passengers per year, up from the current capacity of about 2.5 crore.
Terminal 2 is a tribute to Bengaluru’s Garden City, and the passenger experience is meant to be a “walk in the garden.” Passengers will pass through more than 10,000 square metres of green walls, hanging gardens, and outdoor gardens.
“The Airport has already set a precedent for sustainability by utilising 100 percent renewable energy across the campus. Terminal 2 was designed with sustainability in mind. Based on the sustainability initiatives, Terminal 2 will be the world’s largest terminal to be pre-certified platinum by the US GBC (green building council) prior to operations. The theme of ‘Naurasa’ unites all of the commissioned artworks for Terminal 2. The artworks reflect Karnataka’s heritage and culture, as well as the larger Indian ethos “The PMO stated.
