He added that since the calamity in 2013 caused by landslides and flash floods, tourism has soared.

“There has been a marked rise in pilgrims after the catastrophe. About 15 lakh people recently visited Kedarnath Dham. It would be quite simple for devotees to ascend to the temple and descend back effortlessly thanks to the installation of roadways ” he added.

According to the Pradhan Pujari, more people will visit the shrine as a result of the widening and improvement of the roadways. “For nearly two years the temple was closed due to the COVID-19 epidemic but when the temple was open, the number of worshippers grew,” he added.

The pilgrims who must travel to Kedarnath in the ensuing 20 years appear to have arrived this year, in 2022. It was previously unthinkable to witness even 500 to 1,000 pilgrims around this period in October, but right now, there are almost 20,000 people in attendance to pay respects to Baba Kedarnath. Due to the fact that everyone wants to visit Kedarnath once in their lifetime and that people are always excited to visit Devbhoomi for Char Dham, the number of pilgrims would increase here after the route extension.

Asthapath, Saraswati Asthapath, and other development projects would be reviewed by PM Modi, according to Rudraprayag District Magistrate Mayur Dixit.

October 21: PM schedule

“Tomorrow, PM Modi will lead prayers at Kedarnath Dham. The Prime Minister will then assess the numerous construction projects, including Mandakini Asthapath, Saraswati Asthapath, and others. He will converse with the staff here as well. For which preparations are well under way, and everyone present is quite enthusiastic and anxious to greet Prime Minister Modi, ” he added.

The Rudraprayag DM mentioned the cable car ropeway project and stated Kedarnath will benefit from it.

“The Kedarnath cable car ropeway project will be crucial. The ropeway will be used to solve the problem of material transport and mobility. For those unable to journey and return home without praying, the cable car project will be of utmost importance “added Dixit. He added that this year saw a record number of visitors visiting the shrine.

“More than 15 lakh pilgrims have already visited Kedarnath this year, up from more than 10 lakh in 2019. Everyone will be able to visit the shrine in the future once the cable car is running “Dixit went on.

Those who travelled to Kedarnath Dham as pilgrims hailed PM Modi for his excellent work as well.

Rakesh Kumar Srivastava, a devotee of Varanasi, believes that the opening of the cable car will simplify travel for more people.

“Before, hardly much development had occurred. But if cable care were available to everyone, that would be fantastic. Because a cable car is less expensive, the passengers can travel in one for less time and money than they can in a helicopter. The work our Prime Minister, Modi, has accomplished is simply outstanding. After the cable car debut, an increasing number of visitors would come here, “Srivastava made a comment.

He would provide darshan and puja at the Kedarnath Temple at Kedarnath at roughly 8:30 am, according to the PMO office.

The Kedarnath Ropeway Project’s foundation stone will be laid at roughly 9 a.m. by the prime minister. Following his visit to the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Samadhi Sthal, the prime minister will assess the state of the construction projects being done along the Mandakini Asthapath and the Saraswati Asthapath at roughly 9:25 am.

Prime Minister will then travel to Badrinath and do darshan and puja at the Shri Badrinath Temple at around 11:30 am. He will assess the riverside development project’s progress at 12 o’clock, and at 12:30 o’clock he will lay the cornerstone for the road and ropeway projects in Mana village.
