New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 553rd birth anniversary celebrations of the first Sikh Guru Nanak Dev on Monday around 8 PM, media reports said.

The celebration – on the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti – is taking place at the residence of Iqbal Singh Lalpura, chairperson of National Commission for Minorities, news agency PTI reported.

The prime minister will offer prayers and also address the gathering on the occasion.

Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Gurpurab, will be celebrated on Tuesday, the 8th November.
