New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the new terminal building of Chennai International Airport on 8 April. The new Integrated Terminal Building at Chennai Airport spread over an area of over 2.20 lakh square meters will cater to the aspirations of the growing number of air passengers in Tamil Nadu.

PM Modi in a tweet said, “This would give a boost to air connectivity and would also benefit the local economy”.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Wednesday (April 5) tweeted that the new Integrated Terminal Building at Chennai airport, spread over an area of 2,20,972 sqm, is ready to cater to the growing air traffic in Tamil Nadu.

The ministry said it also reflects the government’s commitment towards providing high-quality infrastructure to commuters. The ministry said that the first phase of the new state-of-the-art integrated terminal building at Chennai airport will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 8 April 2023.
