The BJP has declared candidates for 55 assembly seats, leaving the remaining five for its coalition partner, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). The Left-Congress coalition has also named candidates for all 60 seats.

Tripura’s 60 seats will go to polls on February 16, while Meghalaya and Nagaland will vote on February 27. The counting of votes for all the three states will be held simultaneously on March 2. Let us inform that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda and Chief Minister Manik Saha had released the manifesto of the party on Thursday.

Addressing the public meeting, Nadda said, “When BJP brings ‘Sankalp Patra’, it is a vision document, it is not just a piece of paper, it is BJP’s commitment towards the people.” Nadda said, “Tripura was once known for blockade and militancy. The state is now known for peace, prosperity and development.”

Nadda slams Congress-Left alliance

JP Nadda said that 13 lakh Ayushman Bharat health cards have been given so far in Tripura, in which Rs 107 crore has been given. Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress-Left alliance and said the alliance was opportunistic in nature and had no ideology.

BJP president JP Nadda, who addressed a Vijay Sankalp rally in Gomti district, said Tripura had faced violence and unrest five years ago, but under the BJP rule, the state is promoting development, connectivity and infrastructure.
