New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday took several jibes at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his speech in Lok Sabha on Thursday. In one of his digs at Gandhi, he reiterated a few statements that the Congress MP used in his speech in the Lower House on Wednesday.

He said, “Lanka Hanuman ji ne nahi, ravan ke ghamand ne jalayi thi (Lanka wasn’t burnt by Hanuman Ji but Ravan’s arrogance.)”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi used the same dialog earlier on Wednesday to point out at Prime Minister Modi’s arrogance that prevented him to visit Manipur that is wrecked up by the violence for over three months now.

Gandhi had said, “Ravana would listen to two people – Meghnath and Kumbhkaran. In this case too, Modi listens to Amit Shah and [Gautam] Adani only. Hanuman did not set fire to Lanka. It was set on fire by Ravan’s arrogance.”

Meanwhile, the PM also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s statement of “Dil Se Baat.” Taking a sarcastic dig at it, PM said, “Dil se baat… unke deemag ke haal ko toh desh lambe samay se jaanta hai ab dil ka bhi pta chala raha hai.” (The situation of his brain is known to the nation for a long time, now they are knowing about his heart as well.)

He said, “Inka modi prem itna hai ki inhe sapne bhi modi ke ate hain. (They have strong Modi love that they have started dreaming about me.”)

Rahul Gandhi’s first speech after being reinstated

Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi spoke for the first in the Parliament after being reinstated as the Lok Sabha member from Kerala’s Wayanad. He was ousted from the Lower House after his conviction in Modi Surname defamation case.

No-Confidence Motion defeated in Parliament

PM Modi opened his speech responding to no-confidence motion presented by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi that was later dismissed. However, the Opposition walked out of the Parliament, complaining that PM Modi did not address the Manipur violence in his speech.
