PM Modi Takes ‘Jeep And Elephant Safari’ At Kaziranga National Park In Assam

On his trip to Kaziranga, PM Modi began with an elephant safari in the Mihimukh area of the Central Kohora range in the national park. He then went on a jeep safari in the same area, accompanied by Park Director Sonali Ghosh and other senior forest officials.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on two-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. His journey began with an early morning arrival at Kaziranga National Park, where he did both elephant and jeep safari. And this is the first time any prime minister has spent a night in Kaziranga and done a jungle safari.

PM Modi reached Kaziranga National Park at 5 in the morning after arriving in Tezpur one night before. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed him. Strict security measures were taken before PM Modi’s visit to Kaziranga, where he stayed for about two hours.

What Is The Goal Of The Project?

A famous personality from the Ahom Kingdom of Assam, known for defeating the Mughals, is the main focus of the project. This project involves creating Lachit and Tai-Ahom museums and a 500-seat auditorium. Its goal is to honor the bravery of Lachit Borphukan and make more people aware of his important legacy. They hope this will attract more tourists and create more employment opportunities in the area.

Afterward, the Prime Minister plans to visit Meleng Metelli Pothar in the Jorhat district. There, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several central and state projects worth around Rs 18,000 crore. These projects cover healthcare, oil and gas, railways, and housing sectors, showing a strong effort to boost development in the region.
