PM Modi Reviews Roadmap For Next-Gen Reforms With Ministers, Economists

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the roadmap for Next-Generation Reforms. The meeting was attended by senior ministers, officials  and economists.

The meeting comes close on the heels of his Independence Day address, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised a ‘Double Diwali’ gift.

Modi said, “This Diwali, I am going to make it a double Diwali for you. Over the past eight years, we have undertaken major reforms in GST, and now we are bringing next-generation reforms that will reduce the tax burden across the country.”
