Ravindra Jadeja also shared the photo of his meeting with PM Modi. In this photo PM is shaking hands with Jadeja. Jadeja wrote, ‘Our tournament was very good, but yesterday we lost. We are all sad, but people’s support is encouraging us. The PM’s visit to the dressing room yesterday was special and very inspiring.

Shreyas Iyer also shared an emotional post. Shreyas wrote, ‘Our hearts are broken. It still hasn’t calmed down and won’t for some time. This was my first World Cup which taught me a lot. Thank you to BCCI, team management, support staff and fans who supported us from beginning to end. Congratulations to the entire Australian team also.

The Australian team had come to play the final for the 8th time. It had to face defeat twice, against West Indies in 1975 and Sri Lanka in 1996. Whereas Australia won the title maximum 6 times in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023. He won the title three consecutive times from 1999 to 2007.

Rohit Sharma played a brilliant inning of 47 runs in 31 balls, but as soon as he was out, the condition of Team India became weak. It seemed as if the batsmen of Team India were in a bind. After the dismissal of Rohit, Shubman Gill (4), Shreyas Iyer (4), Virat Kohli (54) and KL Rahul took the score to 148 (28.3 overs), here when Kohli was out, Team India was left tied. After this, the Kangaroo bowlers tightened the noose on the Indian batsmen.
