PM Modi Leads Roadshow in Bhubaneswar to Mark One Year of BJP Government in Odisha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a grand roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to mark the first anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Odisha. The event drew large crowds as people lined the streets to welcome the Prime Minister.

Soon after reaching the capital city in the afternoon, PM Modi relocated the roadshow from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Janata Maidan. His visit captures the BJP campaign to increase its strength in the state and win the governance points of the last one year.

PM Modi will then preside over a state-level event marking the completion of one year of the BJP government in Odisha. On the day, he will also dedicate and lay foundation for various developmental schemes with an outlay of more than ₹18,600 crore to improve infrastructure, connectivity, and public facilities in the state

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Bihar, launched India’s first export-oriented locomotive from the Marhowrah railway factory under the ‘Make in India’ program, a milestone achievement. The state-of-the-art locomotive is being shipped to the Republic of Guinea, showcasing India’s increasing expertise in producing world-class rail equipment for international markets.

In a second significant initiative towards regional connectivity, PM Modi also inaugurated the Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express through video conferencing. The new semi-high-speed train would travel more efficiently between Patna to Muzaffarpur to Bettiah to Gorakhpur—enhance passenger comfort and boost Bihar’s transport infrastructure.

He also initiated the ₹400 crore Vaishali–Deoria railway line project, further demonstrating the government’s commitment to enhancing the railway network of Bihar. Besides railways, the Prime Minister also inaugurated six sewage treatment plants and other water projects worth more than ₹1,800 crore. The Prime Minister also laid foundation stones for new urban water and sanitation plans worth ₹3,000 crore.

The tour also witnessed the inauguration of a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in 15 substations, strengthening Bihar’s power infrastructure even more. Through PMAY (Urban), financial aid was sanctioned to more than 53,000 beneficiaries of housing, and 6,600 new house keys were distributed reaching a state-wide developmental push.
