Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached in Bengaluru to unveil a 108-foot bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda and to inaugurate Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Minister Pralhad Joshi, and other dignitaries and officials greeted PM Modi. “PM Narendra Modi arrived in Bengaluru just now, where he was greeted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, CM Basavaraj Bommai, Minister Pralhad Joshi, and other dignitaries and officials,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a tweet.

Floral tribute to Sri Kanaka Dasa

The Prime Minister will pay floral tributes to the statues of saint poet Sri Kanaka Dasa and Maharshi Valmiki at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, according to the PMO.

He will flag off the Vande Bharat Express and the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train at Bengaluru’s KSR railway station around 10:20 a.m.

PM Modi will open Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport at approximately 11:30 a.m. Following that, at approximately 12 noon, he will unveil the 108-foot bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, followed by a public function in Bengaluru at approximately 12:30 am. PM Modi will attend the 36th Convocation ceremony of Gandhigram Rural Institute in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, at around 3:30 p.m.

Projects in Visakhapatnam

The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a number of projects in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on November 12 at around 10:30 a.m. He will go to the RFCL plant in Ramagundam, Telangana, around 3:30 p.m. Following that, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for a number of projects in Ramagundam.

The Prime Minister will dedicate Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 5,000 crore. According to the PMO, the terminal will double the airport’s passenger handling capacity to 5-6 crore passengers per year, up from the current capacity of about 2.5 crore.
