New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, has flagged-off the new and improved version of Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar today. Beginning a new era of comfortable and enhanced rail travel experience, the new Vande Bharat Express, the most awaited newly built semi-high speed train is now ready to run commercially.
This train will run between Gandhinagar and Mumbai connecting the state capitals of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Talking about the features of this train, Sumit Thakur, CPRO, Western Railway Zone said, “Vande Bharat Express offers many superior facilities that will provide the passengers with a luxurious travel experience and advanced state-of-the-art safety features, including an indigenous An ingeniously developed Train Collision Avoidance System is also in place.”

These upgrades inducted in the new Vande Bharat Express
Thakur said that the train has been provided with bogies with fully suspension traction motors for an operating speed of 160 kmph, along with advanced state-of-the-art suspension to ensure a smooth and safe journey and better ride comfort for the passengers.
Thakur further said that all the sections have seating seats while the executive coach has the additional facility of 180 degree reciprocating seats.
He said, “Each coach is fitted with a 32-inch screen which provides passenger information and information. Disabled friendly toilets and seat handles have also been made available in Braille characters.
Talking about other features of Vande Bharat Express, Loco Pilot of the train KK Thakur said, “The train has been provided with four platform side cameras on the outside of the coach, including rearview cameras.
Third Vande Bharat train in the country
This is the third Vande Bharat train in the country. Earlier this train is being run between New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. ICF has set a target of manufacturing 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023.
