New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on his two-day tour to four states starting today July 7, flagged off 2 Vande Bharat Express trains in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on the same day.
The two trains are Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express.
The addition of these two new Vande Bharat Express trains will bring the total number of semi-high-speed trains present in India to 25.
Gorakhpur-Lucknow
The new Vande Bharat on the route of Gorakhpur to Lucknow will cover a distance of 302 km via Ayodhya junction in less than four hours. The caravan consists of eight coaches, including seven air-conditioned chair cars with one executive chair car coach.
The all-new blue-white train in the state is ready to connect the city of Baba Gorakhnath in Gorakhpur to the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, as reported by Hindustan Times.
The caravan will be commencing its journey from Gorakhpur at 6.05 am that will enter Lucknow at 10.20 am the same day. On the return journey, the caravan will depart from Lucknow at 7.15 pm and will arrive at 11.25 the very same day.
The train is ready to provide connectivity to the tourist places like Kushinagar, Siddharth Nagar and sant kabir nagar.
Jodhpur-Sabarmati
The following Vande Bharat Express train will connect Jodhpur in Rajasthan to Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The caravan will start from Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 4:45 pm and will enter Jodhpur at 10:55 pm the very same day.
On the return journey, it will depart from Jodhpur at 5:55 am and will reach Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 12:05 pm the very same day.
This Vande Bharat Express train will connect Pali, Abu Road, Mehsana and Palanapur on its route, states the Western Railways in a press release.
