PM Modi Expresses Grief Over Kannauj Bus Accident, Announces Rs 2 Lakh Ex-Gratia for Families of Deceased

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences for people who lost their live in Kannauj accident.

On Friday accident took place in Kannauj. The accident took place due to collision between Bus and water tanker. The bus was moving towards Agra when the accident took place.

As per SP Amit Kumar, 8 people died and 19 got injured in the accident. The accident took place at Auraiya border which is near Kannauj. The bus was going from Lucknow to Delhi. According to media reports, Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences for people who lost their live in Kannauj accident. He wrote that, “Saddened by the loss of lives in the bus accident in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon. The local administration is assisting those affected.”

He further announced an ex-gratia for families who lost their member in the accident.

For this the Central Government have announced an ex-gratia of Rupees 2 lakh prime minister’s national relief fund to the next of kin of each deceased. Apart from this an amount of Rs 50,000 have been announced for the person who got injured during the incident.
