PM Modi and Dr Lucica Ditiu, Stop TB Partnership

New Delhi: Dr. Lucica Ditiu, Executive Director, of the Stop TB Partnership on Friday said that In 2018, the honorable Prime Minister, we were in Delhi and the PM said that in India we will end TB by 2025 and maybe some people rolled their eyes. I tell them to stay with their eyes rolled because India is ending TB by 2025. 

With the vision of Prime Minister Modi and the amazing leadership of Minister of Health, Mansukh Mandaviya, and the great teams working you have created Many TB-free societies over the last 5-6 years, she said.

The country is on an amazing path to do that. It went amazing 1 million people already with TB from India are paired with their supporters, this is spectacular, Congratulations. She added. 

I think, honestly, that this is an idea we can have in other places as well and today I announce from here that I will personally support 5 people with TB in India, she said. 

Dr. Lucica said that We spoke here about One Future, One Earth, One Family, One World. We need one Leader, we want you to inspire other leaders in the world to help drive this agenda for the world. You will change the world and give hope to all of us. 

“TB Haarega, India Jeetega,” she said while speaking in the presence of PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and Union health minister Manshukh Mandviya.
