Kerala: Addressing a public meet in Malappuram, Congress MP from Wayanad and Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi said, “The truth is the Prime Minister barely escaped in Varanasi and he would have been defeated himself in Varanasi.”
Mentioning the unprecedented mandate in Ayodhya, he stated that the BJP was defeated in Ayodhya. So it was the people of Ayodhya who sent the message to the BJP that we don’t appreciate hatred and violence.

Hitting out at the BJP’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, he said that before the polling, the party leaders were seen saying that they would tear up the Constitution, but after the elections, you saw the Prime Minister doing this (bowing head) to the constitution.

Mentioning Uttar Pradesh for the mandate the state has given to the saffron brigade and to the INDI alliance, Rahul Gandhi said, “The people of Kerala, the people of Uttar Pradesh showed the Prime Minister that they (BJP) cannot dictate the people of India. The people of India also told them (BJP) that the constitution is our voice, do not touch the constitution.”

Since 2014, the BJP is for the first time dependent on its allies for the government as it has been limited to 240 seats in the Lok Sabha whereas the INDIA bloc achieved an unprecedented score and Rahul Gandhi won from both the constitution (Wayanad and Raebareli) with a huge margin.
