Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Ahmedabad on Wednesday evening in the inaugural function of birth centenary celebrations of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. He will inaugurate it shortly.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state Governor Acharya Devvrat were also present in the event. According to the information, this festival will continue for the next 1 month.

People from other countries including America, Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand have arrived at the festival. After the inauguration today, from December 15, any person can enter Pramukh Swami Nagar without any fee. There are many attractions in the festival which provide inspiration for life creation and provide an opportunity to the people for moral-spiritual life.
30 feet high statue made
Grand preparations have been made in Ahmedabad for the centenary celebrations. This event is being organized by BAPS on 600 acres of land on SP Ring Road, Ahmedabad. A 30 feet high statue of Pramukh Swami Maharaj has been made. A tableau of Akshardham temple has also been prepared inside the city.
The year-long worldwide celebrations will culminate in the ‘Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav’ that will be hosted by BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Shahibaug, which is the worldwide headquarters of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, the Prime Minister’s Office had said.
It will be a month-long celebration which will take place from 15th December 2022 to 15th January 2023 in Ahmedabad, featuring daily events, thematic exhibitions and thought provoking pavilions.
