New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come into action mode in view of the Gujarat Assembly elections to be held by the end of the year. In view of this he has announced packages worth Rs 3400 crore after a huge rally in Surat, Gujarat.
PM Modi announced these projects
These include water supply and drainage projects, Dream City, Biodiversity Park. He also announced other development projects such as public infrastructure, heritage restoration, city bus/BRTS infrastructure, and electric vehicle infrastructure. Pm Modi also announced joint projects by the central and state governments.

PM Modi’s DREAM City
Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate the first phase of road infrastructure and the main entrance of Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City. The DREAM City project has been initiated with a vision to meet the growing demand for commercial and residential space for the booming diamond trading sector in Surat. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the second phase of the project.
Apart from inaugurating the ‘Khoj Museum’ at the Science Center in Surat, Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the 87-hectare Biodiversity Park.

PM Modi is on two-day Gujarat tour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a two-day visit to his home state Gujarat on Thursday. During this, he will also participate in Navratri celebrations with many programs. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will cover Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad and Ambaji for various development projects and will inaugurate projects worth Rs 29,000 crore, including the launch of Ahmedabad Metro Phase I, costing Rs 12,900 crore.
After Surat, PM Modi will visit Bhavnagar to inaugurate several developmental initiatives worth over Rs 5,200 crore. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the world’s first CNG terminal and brownfield port in the city. The port will be developed at a cost of over Rs 4,000 crore and will have state-of-the-art infrastructure for a CNG terminal. The port will have an ultra-modern container terminal, multi-purpose terminal and liquid terminal with direct door-step connectivity to the existing road and railway network.
