PM Modi Andhra Pradesh Visit Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, October 16. During his visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth around Rs 13,430 crore in Kurnool.
At around 11:15 AM, he performed Pooja and Darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Srisailam in Nandyal district. After the darshan, PM Modi visited Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra in Srisailam.
After concluding his visit to Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam and Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, PM Modi arrived in Kurnool. He will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth around Rs. 13,430 crore at around 2:30 PM. He will also address a public gathering on the occasion.
PM Modi performed Pooja and Darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlings and one of the 52 Shakti Peeth. The unique feature of this temple is the coexistence of a Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peeth in the same temple premises, making it one of its kind in the entire country.
Prime Minister Modi also visited the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, a memorial complex that includes a Dhyana Mandir (Meditation Hall) featuring models of four iconic forts—Pratapgad, Rajgad, Raigad, and Shivneri—placed at the four corners.

n response to comments on India's energy sourcing, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal says, "India is a significant importer of oil and gas. It has been our consistent priority to safeguard the interests of the Indian consumer in a volatile energy scenario. Our import policies are guided entirely by this objective. Ensuring stable energy prices and secured supplies have been the twin goals of our energy policy. This includes broad-basing our energy sourcing and diversifying as appropriate to meet market conditions. Where the US is concerned, we have for many years sought to expand our energy procurement. This has steadily progressed in the last decade. The current Administration has shown interest in deepening energy cooperation with India. Discussions are ongoing."

Several people fall ill after consuming contaminated water from a well in Chhindwara's Rajola village Speaking to ANI, SDM Chhindwara, Hemkaran Dhurve, said, "We had conducted a check-up of 150 families yesterday. 60 people from 150 families were found suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea. We took water samples from the well and found them to be contaminated. Four pigeons were found dead in the well. Today, 120 patients have been administered medicine. Our medical camp will be set up here for the next 2 to 3 days. No patient is in serious condition. Action will be taken for negligence by the Gram Panchayat."
