Today, on August 26, PM Modi visited Hansalpur and flagged off Suzuki’s first global battery electric vehicle, “e VITARA” for export to over 100 countries.

PM Modi Ahmedabad Visit Highlights: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Gujarat. On August 25, PM laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth Rs 5,400 crores at Khodaldham ground, Ahmedabad, at around 6 PM. Today, on August 26, PM Modi visited Hansalpur and flagged off Suzuki’s first global battery electric vehicle, “e VITARA” for export to over 100 countries. He inaugurated localized production of hybrid battery electrodes as well as addressed the gathering on the occasion.

Maruti Suzuki accepted this challenge and prepared a working prototype as well. I just saw the prototype of the hybrid ambulance. It fits perfectly with the PM e-Drive Scheme. Hours before the US tariff was kicked off on India, the country too had launched a campaign boosting swadeshi goods. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged a ‘swadeshi’ push to withstand the pressure of the tariff imposed as a penalty on India for importing Russian oil. With more tariffs looming, the Swadeshi push is perfectly timed as festive seasons approach. “Businessmen should keep a big board outside their establishments, saying they sell ‘swadeshi’ goods,” the PM said, referring specifically to the shopping season ahead on account of a series of festivals. He was speaking at an event in Ahmedabad in his home state of Gujarat. This comes as India consistently hardens its stance against the US tariff regime affecting international trade.
