Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Gujarat on Monday, during which he will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate to the nation several development projects totaling Rs 5,400 crore. The event is scheduled to take place at the Khodaldham ground in Ahmedabad around 6 PM today, where he will also address a public gathering.
Commuters in Ahmedabad may need to adjust their travel plans this Sunday due to road closures in the Nikol area for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting at Khodaldham Maidan. To manage the anticipated crowd, city police have implemented an extensive traffic diversion plan.
Key Road Closures:
Authorities have announced that the left-hand side of the road from MS School Circle to Rajchandra Society, Mango Cinema, and up to the Devasya Estate Flat three-road junction will be completely closed to vehicular traffic. Additionally, routes from Ring Road and Bhakti Circle to the Devasya Estate junction, Raspan Crossroads, and the stretch between D-Mart and Haridarshan Crossroads will be shut.
Other closures include roads from Omkar Plaza to Gajanand Heights and from Shayona Enclave to Khodalfarm Crossroads, extending up to Devasya School, according to a report by The Indian Express.
