PM Modi in US: On the second day of his United States official visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering of Indian-origin people in the presence of President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden at White House.
Prime Minister expressed his gratitude towards Biden for the warm welcome. he said, “Thank You for your friendship, President Biden”.
PM conveyed his happiness over people of the Indian diaspora were allowed to gather in the White House.
“I have visited the White House many times after becoming the PM. This is the first time the gates of the White House have been opened for the Indian-American community in such large numbers,” said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Modi recognised Indian-Americna hard work as a real strength behind strong relations between the two nations.
“People of the Indian community are enhancing India’s glory in the US through their hard work and dedication. You are the real strength of our relationship. I thank President Biden and Dr Jill Biden for giving this honour to them,” said Prime Minister Modi.
Addressing the Indian diaspora, he informed that he and President Biden would hold bilateral talks in a Short while.
“US President Biden and I will hold bilateral talks in a short while now and discuss regional and global issues. I am sure that our talks will be positive,” PM Modi said at the White House.
PM Modi expressed his hope over friendship between US and India in the post-Covid era.
“In the post-Covid era, the world order is taking a new shape. In this time period, the friendship between India and US will be instrumental in enhancing the strength of the whole world. India & US are committed to working together for the global good and peace, stability and prosperity,” PM Modi at the White House.
At the end of his speech, PM Modi wished for a prosperous future for the two nations.
“I along with the 1.4 billion people of India wish that India’s tricolour and America’s stars and stripes keep flying higher and higher,” said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Modi is on a 3-day official visit to the United States of America.
